*NEW* Point 18: Final Statement of Intent

Music Video: My music video will be fitting into the genre "anthem", with the chosen song "Mr Brightside" by The Killers. My target audience is Indie Kids and Alternatives aged 16-25. The concept for my music video is for my Artist (solise) to be playing the lead role. The main focus of this is about the lead role experience a lot of Out-Of-Body Experience. With acting the artist will show how confusing and also dangerous this Out-Of-Body thing is. This idea is based on personal experience and the love for confusing the audience. This is pretty relatable as most people between 16-25 go through a time where they don't recognise themselves and maybe see themselves from a third eye view, so I think this will help reach the right audience. The use of colour will be important to underline the actions and focal points. Even though The Killers are not signed up with Sony Music Group, I do feel that my music video will fit their standards and expectations. The performan...

Point 17: where to put logo/brand?

So close, yet so far. For point 17 I have to decide where I want the artist logo to go in the final music video. I am tempted to put the brand at the very end of the music video. The reason for that is to keep the viewer as long as needed on my music video, to gain attention from other viewers. By putting the logo and brand at the end, the viewers are forced to watch until the end of the vidoe to see who the artist is and what the song is called.

Point 16: Storyboard, drawn

I will create a story board physical because drawing digitally is a pain. A big pain.  Down here you can judge me: The storyboard illustrates my idea of what is going to happen and how. Camera angles and descriptions are included to give the viewer a better idea of what I have in mind. The drawings are not 100% understandable, but it helps to understand of what roughly happens. This task connects to the shooting list and script, as it gives me a visiual idea of how the scene is suppose to look like and what editing I am going to use for specific scenes. Even though it is not as detailed as the shooting script, the storyboard is a great supporter to visualise the idea. I am a visual learner, so seeing the shots drawn, helps me to provide the perfect scenery. In the end, I did not use any colours or went into crazy detail, because I believe that mostly the director off the music video has to understand the pictures.
