Point 38: Process of the website

Creating a new website and having to stick to one specific video that does not exist yet, was quite a challenge for me. I have the colour palette and video visually in front of my eyes, however, I do not have the finished product from which I can check if what I do is correct.
First I used several different website templates from the category "Musician" and tried to turn them into my website. This took a really long time and after hours I realised that this template was just not working for me so I picked a new one. This happened exactly 4 times until I gave templates up and created a website from scratch. This was much easier than I imagined and ended up having more fun organising and adding what I want than trying and adapting my ideas into an already existing template.

After putting everything in place on the homepage I turned to the other web pages such as "ABOUT", "GALLERY" and "SHOP". A lot of back and forth went into these pages. The reason for that is simply that in the middle of the progress I got a whole new idea to represent the different target audiences on the website. It took a while for me to be fully satisfied with the outcome, a lot of re-adjusting and re-placing went into this. In the end, I also changed the font style and tried to match this with the theme for each webpage. I do think I did a decent job with this idea.

I wanted to make my website more "busy", especially on the sides and because I am a fan of astronauts I found some cute stickers about astronauts, so I added them to the sides, keeping in mind that they have to match the specific webpage. I am very pleased with the outcome and feel that the astronauts put an extra personal trait to the website. They also compliment the pages more and help to set the vibe.

The last step required Grammarly. I wrote the texts I wanted to use for my website and pasted these on the web pages as soon as I corrected them. For the text about the artist, I wanted to go in a different direction. I love telling stories and putting a nice plot to them. I combined this with each other and came up with a text that is written like a story but still makes clear that this is about the artist and their life.

In the end, I created the policies and use of data links at the bottom of the page. I linked them up with Sony's website pages that explain these and put the Sony Music Group logo below as well.
